Jegna is an Amharic term that originates from Ethiopia and is often used to refer to a hero, warrior, or brave person. It is a title of respect and honor given to individuals who have displayed exceptional courage, strength, or leadership qualities.

Jegna African Youth Sport Association (JAYSA) is an organization that emphasizes the importance of education and sports. We are deeply committed to empowering and nurturing the next generation of our continent.

What age groups does the soccer academy cater to?

Currently we only have U13 – U16 team.

What is the training schedule and frequency of sessions?

Training is three times a week, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.

Is the soccer academy open to both boys and girls?

Currently we coach only boys but we hope to start girls team soon.

How can I register my child for the soccer academy?

Are there any tryouts or assessments required for joining the academy?

Yes.

What are the fees and payment options for enrolling in the soccer academy?

Currently we do not charge any of the participants.

What equipment or gear does my child need for training and matches?

Soccer shoes, shorts and training shirt and a bottle of water.

Does the academy provide any opportunities for competitive matches or tournaments?

Yes, starting March 2024 the boys will start to compete against other clubs.
